ACH is a direct deposit into your checking or savings account. Checks can be sent via FedEx overnight minus the FedEx fee.
Marketing Collateral is provided by NetPower at cost or you may have it printed at your preferred printer. We will provide a starter package at no cost once you have signed up and are ready to begin. Materials include business cards, brochures, fliers, posters and a plethora of give-away's like pens, t-shirts, etc. All materials can be ordered online once your are signed up.
There is a simple requirement to receive residual payments. That is that you continue to signup clients with products and services at NetPower at the following rates:

Due to the amount of money our reps make and the tax ramifications, NetPower also offers an on-call CPA firm that specializes in small businesses from self - 10 employees. They are located directly in our office so it is very convenient for them to work with our reps. The local CPA is Luke Greene, and they are not employed by or affiliated with NetPower in any way. The company name is Spaghetti Business Services and is 600+ accountants strong in throughout the US and Canada. Their website is www.smallbizpros.com and they can help with all your tax planning needs if you so choose to use them.
Q - Who the heck is NetPower and why would I work for you?
A - First, you do not work for us. You work for yourself. We merely provide all the tools you need for a successful venture. We are an Internet company that was started by Thomas Marshall, in Columbia, SC in 1996. We are still owned and operated as a family company and are growing at a rapid pace every year. Our corporation information can be seen at the SC Secretary of State's website here. Our company began life as NetPower & Interweb Technologies, Inc. but officially went to NetPower in 2003 due to the overwhelming confusion of companies with the same or similar name. NetPower has never considered any offers to buy as we are a family owned company and intend to pass the company on to our children as they grow into it (although no time soon since the oldest of them is only 10!).
Q- Are there investment or startup fees.
A - No. We are not offering a multi-level marketing or a get rich quick scheme. This is a real company with real career opportunities. If we were one of those type of company's we would surely require up front fees but we're not so we don't.
Q - What do I do...How do I get clients?
A - We encourage all those who feel that this opportunity will energize their life personally and financially. We do not require any specific sales methods as we understand that many of our AE's are seasoned pros with proven methods. However, if you would like, we can provide training and materials to help you jump start your sales activity.
Q - What is an Independent Contractor or 1099?
A - An Independent Contractor is defined in three categories – Behavioral Control, Financial Control, and the Type of Relationship. In this case we do not impose requirements for any of these except in that all reasonable efforts are made on your part to be the consummate professional. You will be paid with no taxes taken out and you will be responsible for the planning and payment of all taxes related to your employment, thus the use of an IRS 1099 form.
Q - What if I do not meet my minimum sales...Do I not get my residual?
A - You are given one "grace" month in any 12 month period. This means that as long as you have at least 50% of your required sales you will still receive your residual for that month. You can also declare up to six weeks each calendar year as "Personal" and your minimum requirement will be prorated. This means that if you decide to take 2 weeks for vacation one month, you will only need to submit 2 weeks worth of sales and still receive your residuals. We are here to help you succeed because when you succeed, we succeed. These rules are in place to avoid any confusion in the future should these events arise. Also, any 3 consecutive months of failure to meet new sales requirements will result in immediate termination of your AE account and no further residuals paid.
Q - Can I see a real life example?
A - No problem. Scott sold this client a website design package for $1,100 with the add-on "Vertical Market" package for RV Sales for an additional $395 plus hosting for $12.94/mo. He earned a one time payment of $760.44 for that one sale plus he now receives a residual payment each month of $5.18. You can browse this website to see all prices.

Systems Administrator (Linux)
Essential job duties and responsibilities include managing the daily activities and operation of a UNIX environment that contains many UNIX based servers using SUN Solaris 10. Write UNIX security scripts. Install and evaluate third-party software tools and operating systems.
Work as a team member with System Developers, Testers, Network Engineers, and client representatives. Other essential job duties and responsibilities include support, troubleshooting hardware, software and network related problems. Analyze customer/user requirements followed by documenting, designing, and developing solutions.
Skills and experience required:
Experience in design, integration, management, and maintenance of UNIX servers. Experience in complex computer system problem solving and performance tuning. 5 years of SUN Solaris system administration is required. Candidate must pay attention to detail and be a process oriented yet innovative, self-starting, hands-on technology professional that is able to work with minimal supervision. Must have a keen sense of system integration requirements and industry trends and assist in translating those trends and requirements into product plans and deliverable products. Must be organized, disciplined, flexible, results-oriented and decisive with a “can-do” attitude. Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills. Three to five years minimum professional experience in related areas.
Skills and Experience preferred:
Solaris certifications a plus. Oracle knowledge is very helpful. Working understanding of Linux. Previous experience with data management and manipulation desirable. Oracle App Server and Web Logics App servers would really be a plus. Knowledge of CMMI.
Education or Certifications preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent technological experience. Master’s Degree or above a plus.
Note: Expect to be tested.
Required Skills:
- Solaris 10 Administration; shell scripting (ksh, csh, bash); trouble shooting; strong experience with Java Application Servers
- Must have 4 of the following skills:
- LDAP (preferably Sun One); Kerberos; DNS; Jumpstart; SAN/NAS (preferably Apple Xraid or NetApp Filer); Linux (preferably Red Hat); Apache; Tomcat.
Bonus Skills:
- Solaris zones, containers, and clustering;

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of enterprise software products and experience managing a wide range of software on multiple platforms. Strong skills in IIS and MS SQL required.
